#FirstImpression of Fazlani Foods Chickpeas Curry With Basmati Rice

Let’s admit it, when you open a ready-to-eat meal, no one expects to eat anything homemade and fresh with a special ‘maa ke haath wala‘ flavor. That’s understood, and no one in their right minds would have that kind of expectation. But, ready-to-eat meals have come a long distance in the way they are packaged, and technology has helped brands keep the taste and nutrition of ready-to-eat meals as close to the original as possible. What we are trying to say here is that it is entirely possible, in this day and age, to have a tasty ready-to-eat meal for anyone who chooses to do so.

We have tasted several ready-to-meals in the Mishry kitchen, but nothing rated as badly as Fazlani Foods Chickpeas Curry With Basmati Rice. You accept these foods with lower expectations, but having said that, the fancy outer covering cannot be enough to make the consumer buy something that tastes this bad.

This combination comes in pretty fancy box packing. However, there is an unappetizing aroma as soon as you open the plastic film. The chhole looks green and completely uninviting.

Upon tasting, we realized the flavor is even worse. The chickpeas aren’t cooked properly and have a terrible sour aftertaste which is far from what chhole should taste like. The gravy too is insipid, no taste here.

The ratio of rice and curry is not proportionate. The chhole is much lesser in comparison to the rice. Talking about the rice, that’s sticky and dry, with a rubbery taste.

Appearance-wise, the chana is green and completely tasteless and definitely nowhere close to the beautiful pictures on the outer covering.

A big thumbs down to Fazlani Foods Chickpeas Curry With Basmati Rice. Without a doubt, there are better options available in the market.
