2. Lemon And Cloves

We agree the lemon might look like a creepy voodoo doll from a supernatural movie, but it is quick and effective. Cut your lemon in half and poke it with some cloves. Half a lemon will require about 5-6 cloves. You can use this to keep it in different corners of the house and even in the refrigerator to deodorize it.

3. Lemon For Microwaves

Is your microwave smelling of the day-old pizza you reheated? It’s a 15-minute task and requires only two things. A lemon and some water. Make sure you use a microwave-safe plastic container or a glass bowl that is thick and durable. Add a glass of water and 4-5 lemon slices. Microwave this for 7-8 minutes and let it rest for 10 more minutes. Open the microwave and wipe it with a damp cloth. The steam will loosen the stains and the lemon will make it fresh smelling. The odor and stains, all gone! Know more about how to clean a microwave.

4. DIY Lemon Room Freshener

Making a lemon room freshener is an easy task and not at all daunting. You will need a cup of water, some rubbing alcohol, lemon juice, and any essential oil that you prefer. It’s better to use fragrances that complement the lemony punch like chamomile, eucalyptus, or tea tree. Pour it in a spray bottle and it’s ready to use.

Add complementing essential oils to drops of lemon juice.

5. Use Lemon Rinds

Most of us discard them, some of us use it in baking and masking, but it is important to know that the lemon rinds hold a lot of fragrance and can be used as a freshener. Boil the lemon peel in a glass of water and use this as a spray for freshening the house. The effects are obviously not as long-lasting as the DIY spray mentioned above but it surely works as a quick fix.
