SUPERB!

Summary

The Tea Time Cakes by Sunfeast are an easy way to bring the plush cafe experience home. These Sunfeast products have a light and airy texture and taste delicious. We loved that these are not eggy at all.

From instant noodles that make us say ‘Yippee’ to fruit-flavored cream biscuits, Sunfeast is one of the first names that pops into the minds of millions of Indians when they think of fun snacks. Tea time cakes called ‘Cakers’ are the latest addition to the range of Sunfeast products. They are offered in three flavors- Butterscotch Layered Cake, Chocolate Swiss Roll, and Triple Chocolate Cake.

We reviewed all three variants of Sunfeast Cakers for their flavor, and texture. Do these tea time cakes by Sunfeast hit the bullseye or do they lack that cake-like sponginess?

Quick Review Of Sunfeast Caker Swiss Roll With Choco

Sunfeast Caker Swiss Roll

Net weight – 29 grams

Nutri info – The Sunfeast Caker Swiss Roll With Choco provides 448 Kcal of energy per 100 grams. Best before 6 months from the date of packaging. The list of ingredients mentions wheat, milk solids, egg, soya, and sulphates.

Appearance – As we slid the Sunfeast Caker Swill Roll Cake out of the pack, it looked flat in comparison to the ones we usually eat out of a pack. This Sunfeast Swiss Roll is a dark brown in color with a light brown colored cream in between the layers. There are thin stripes of chocolate drizzled on the top.

Taste Test –  The Sunfeast Caker – Swiss Roll has a creamy chocolate filling and the chocolate intensity in the cake is apt. Unlike most packaged tea time cakes, this wasn’t over-sweet. The sweetness levels are perfect and much more balanced than the other two variants of Sunfeast Cakers. This could be a good option for those who give a packaged snack for an in-between munch to kids, especially when on the go.

Quick Review Of Sunfeast Caker Trinity With Choco

Sunfeast Caker Trinity

Net weight – 28 grams

Nutri info – Best before 5 months from the date of packaging. Contains wheat, milk solids, egg, soya and sulphites. This variant of the Sunfeast Caker provides 423 Kcal of energy per 100 grams.

Appearance – The Sunfeast Caker Trinity Cake – Triple Chocolate does justice to its claim. The bottom layer has a slab of dark chocolate that acts as a base. The middle layer consists of three vertical pieces of chocolate cake and then the sponge is drizzled with chocolate stripes. The thick chocolate layer at the bottoms holds all the cake layers together.

Taste Test – The Sunfeast Caker Trinity Cake is a chocolate lover’s delight! This Sunfeast Caker ranks lowest on the sweetness scale, but we liked it. The chocolate drizzle and the dark chocolate layer at the bottom bring the perfect balance of flavors. The sponge cake is soft and tastes chocolatey, not eggy. This Sunfeast Caker would pair well with a cup of tea/coffee (even for adults).

Quick Review Of Sunfeast Caker Layered With Butterscotch Flavor

Sunfeast Caker - Butterscotch Flavor

Net weight – 25 grams

Nutri info – Best before 6 months from the date of packaging. Contains wheat, milk solids, egg, soya and sulphites. The butterscotch caker provides 342 Kcal of energy per 100 grams.

Appearance – The Sunfeast Caker Layered Cake – Butterscotch had a light yellow sponge cake. A generous amount of butterscotch flavored creme is sandwiched between two layers of sponge. The top layer of the sponge cake has a golden-brown color and looks well-baked.

Taste Test – This Sunfeast Caker had a rich butterscotch taste. On the sweetness scale, this was definitely on the higher side. The butterscotch cream elevated the experience and taste. This Sunfeast Caker tasted light and spongy.

Conclusion

Sunfeast Caker Review

Sunfeast Caker left us delightfully surprised. Sunfeast has offered an excellent range of flavors with varying levels of sweetness. The sponge cake is not too dense or heavy and can be relished as a mid-meal snack. Additionally, this is an inexpensive way to tackle sweet cravings. We really liked the fact that these do not taste or smell eggy at all. All the three Caker variants by Sunfeast are creamy and go well with warm beverages like tea and coffee.
