Summary

As a new launch, this chocolate may not be adding any innovation to the flavour. It’s just your regular old Snickers with modified nuts in sparse quantities. We expected a nuttier, fruiter bar of chocolate from Snickers.

A loved chocolate brand, Snickers bars and chocolates (NOT ‘sneaker chocolates’!), has captured many hearts with its peanut and caramel-based chocolates. Introduced in 1930, Snickers has been a huge favorite amongst a large section of the chocolate-loving population. Peanuts are known to be a good source of protein and when combined with the energy of sugar, fat, and milk chocolate, Snickers got a reputation for heathier chocolate to consume. In fact, this peanut-caramel bar has often been considered a good snacking option.

Snickers recently introduced a new variation called ‘Fruit & Nut Snickers’ and we were, of course, excited to try this new product. Is the taste of the Fruit & Nut Snickers as satisfying as the original one? Let’s find out!

Quick Review

We expected a better fruity-nutty punch in this bar of Snickers chocolate.

Quick Review Of Snickers Fruit and Nut

Price and packaging –  The product is packaged in a shiny purple packaging which looks quite attractive. The chocolate bar is placed inside the wrapper and is meant for one time use. A 45 gram pack is priced at Rs 50/-.

Dry inspection – On opening the pack we found a chocolatey brown color bar inside the pack which had an elevated criss cross design on top of the bar. The chocolate has no traces of the nuts and raisins on the topmost layer.

Snicker's Fruit & Nut Review

Taste Test –  Snickers has been known for its fudgy, caramel layer, and ample amounts of peanuts. With the introduction of a new flavor, Snickers Fruit & Nut, we had great expectations from its taste and the quantity of nuts in the bar. However, when we tasted the new Snicker chocolate, we found it nowhere in comparison to the original one.

Although the taste is similar to the original one in the mouthfeel of the caramel or even the sweetness levels, the amount of the nuts i.e. the cashews and almonds are almost negligible. We could not find any raisins at all. Quantity of nuts used in the new Snickers chocolate bar in comparison to the number of peanuts in the traditional sneaker is very low. We definitely expected much more. That being said, and as previously mentioned, the caramel goodness remains the same.

Lots of caramel but not enough nuts - Snickers Fruit And Nut Chocolate

All our hopes shattered after consuming a full 45 g bar as it completely lacks fruits and nuts that it claims to have. It seemed more like a plain caramel chocolate but without the peanut overload. If you love the original Snickers, you might end up looking for those peanuts. This can be a good option for those who do not like peanuts in a chocolate or as a snack for active people who have rigorous workouts.
