SUPERB!

Summary

Parle Premium Milk Rusk has a delicious and bold milky flavor. The well balanced sweetness and the crispness of these rusks made these a winner in our review. Moreover, it is an economically priced product.

A garma garam cup of chai combined with a crisp rusk is a combo that we all swear by. It is rightly a comfort food that tastes heavenly. So what exactly is a rusk? Rusk is a hard biscuit or a twice-baked bread consumed as it is or with tea and coffee.

It is a common tea partner that you will find at every tapri-wala chai stall. Today the market is flooded with brands offering different varieties of rusk, from jeera rusks to suji rusks

Earlier we reviewed the Amul Milk Rusk and the milky flavors were liked by all. When another popular brand Parle introduced its milk rusk, we knew we had to review it. Our Parle Premium Milk Rusk Review discusses more details on the product.

That said, the taste gets even milkier when we dunked in a glass of warm milk.

4. Texture And Crunch

The overall experience of having a rusk majorly depends upon the crunch. Imagine! A soggy rusk from a newly opened pack.

We tasted these by themselves, followed by a dunk test. These rusks were super crisp when we had them by themselves.

Post dunking in milk, they do not turn soggy. The crunch is well maintained. Full marks on that!

Additionally, the mouthfeel does not feel buttery.

Parle Premium Milk Rusk comes in a vibrant blue foil pack. Our review pack has a net weight of 200 grams (182 gm + 18 gm extra).

The first impression of these rusks was quite pleasant. All the rusks are baked evenly. None of the rusks in the pack were broken.

We examined the texture in two stages -as is and with a cup of a warm beverage. Before dunking, we tasted it straight out of the pack to check the original flavor and crunch. The crispness of these rusks is on point! It has a pronounced crunch in every bite.

Post-that, we performed a dunk test with a warm glass of milk. On dunking, we observed the rusk absorbs the milk well. It does not turn too soggy. The taste gets even milkier. YUM! On scanning the ingredient list, we found the presence of suji. Suji is commonly used to enhance crispness and adds a crusty layer.

These rusks showcase an intense milky flavor in terms of the overall taste. We loved the delicate sweetness of these rusks.

We liked the intense milky flavor of these rusks.
Dipping these rusks in tea was a heavenly experience.
