Summary

Jabsons Dry Samosas are flaky and generously stuffed with dry masalas. However, these samosas felt slightly hard to bite. We certainly did not like that.

Among the list of vast namkeen snack options, we all have that one particular favorite snack. Be it kachori, murukku, bhujia, gathiya, or dry samosa. What exactly is a dry samosa? It is a triangle-shaped small samosa filled with a mix of spices and dry fruits. Over the past year, we have reviewed different products offered by Jabsons. Jabsons Dry Samosa – Detailed Review

We liked the resealable packaging of Jabsons Dry Samosas. There are around 7 pieces of the samosa in the 160 gm pack. On opening the pack, the masaledaar aroma was the most noticeable. It tasted pleasant.

Appearance-wise, we could see a dry and flaky coating on the samosas. These are small in size and depict a triangle shape.

Here is detailed information on the taste and texture of Jabsons Dry Samosas :

Casing – The outer covering of these samosas is thin and crisp. The edges showcase a prominent crunch. The ratio of the filling to the outer casing is perfect. Neither, less nor more. However, these samosas feel slightly hard to bite.

In terms of the taste, the casing is well seasoned with salt. The flavor of whole roasted cumin enhances the taste further.

Stuffing – The hero of these samosas is the stuffing. A nice crunch is felt when you bite into the whole coriander and saunf.

The stuffing is powdered coarsely. We also observed a few bits of dal. The sweet and spicy masaledar filling adds a burst of flavor to these samosas.

Additionally, the masala also includes bits of raisins and browned cashews. Sweet and tiny in shape, the raisins are chewy. The bits of fried cashews taste fresh. However, these dry fruits are scanty in number.

Jabsons Dry Samosas depict a noticeable taste of cumin, saunf, and coriander. It contains aromatics – clove, aniseed, and nutmeg. Among these, clove adds a balanced heat to the overall flavor. The seasoning appears to be balanced.
