SUPERB!

Summary

We loved how wholesome and flavorful all the variants of the Himalaya Quista Soups are. These are economical and have convenient single-serve packaging. From the homestyle consistency of the soups to the flavors that deliver and the tasty, fresh vegetables, we recommend these instant soups by Himalaya Quista.

Instant soups that come in a packet are often very thick, gelatinous, and gloopy. Not only that, the flavors can come off to be industrial and synthetic. Of course, readymade soups can never match a bowl of freshly prepared homemade soup. But the soul-soothing effect of a hot soup has triggered many brands to come up with soup premixes that are ready in minutes. A new entrant in this category is the Himalaya Quista Hunger Fix range of readymade soups. How close to homemade flavors and consistency are Himalaya Quista Hunger Fix soups? We tried four variants of Himalaya Quista Readymade Soups – Mixed Vegetable Soup, Sweet Corn Soup, Corn Spinach Soup, and Indian Spice Soup. Here is our quick review of the Himalaya Quista Readymade Soups.

Taste Test Results – The Himalaya Mixed Vegetable Soup has a dominant garlic flavor. Even though the vegetables have not rehydrated well and are not plump enough, they taste good and are true to their original flavor. All the vegetables provide a nice bite in between the thin soup. We really liked the home-style consistency and taste of the soup.

Taste Test Results – The Himalaya Quista Sweet Corn Soup has a pleasant garlic taste and will be loved by all the people who like garlic soups. The soup has a subtle sweetness coming from the corn. The rehydrated carrots taste very fresh, crunchy, and sweet. The salt levels are very balanced, and you really don’t need to add anything else.

Quick Review Of Himalaya Quista Readymade Soup – Corn Spinach Soup

Himalaya Quista Readymade Soups - Taste test

Ingredients – Protein sources (33%) [Soy protein isolate, Skimmed milk powder, and Cassinate], Potato starch, Dehydrated vegetables [Sweet corn (4.6%), Spinach powder (4.2%) and onion powder (1.4%)], Inulin – Prebiotic fibre (10.2%), Salt, Maltodextrin, Edible vegetable fat (palm), Sucrose, Date extract (1.4%), Thickener, Spices and condiments, Flavor enhancers, Cornstarch, Licorice extract (0.5%), Acidity regulator, Chives and Anticaking agent.

Nutri label – The Himalaya Quista Corn Spinach Soup provides 335 Kcal of energy, 22.7 grams of protein, and 9.1 grams of dietary fiber per 100 grams.

Dry Inspection And Aroma – The Himalaya Quista Corn Spinach Soup is a light pista green in color. We could see small specs of dehydrated corn during the dry inspection. There is no dominant aroma of any spice or herb.

Taste Test Results – Homemade spinach soups usually have that mild bitter taste at the end that can also be tasted in this instant soup. The overall flavor is delicious, and when paired with corn, it provides a nice textural layer. The corn pieces do not plump up as well as they should. The seasoning of the soup is very balanced, and the consistency is like that of a homemade spinach soup.

Quick Review Of Himalaya Quista Readymade Soup – Indian Spice Soup

Ingredients – Protein sources (33%) [Soy protein isolate, Skimmed milk powder, and Cassinate], Potato starch, Inulin – Prebiotic fibre (10.2%),  Salt, Dehydrated vegetables [Carrot (3.6%), Onion powder (2.25%), Garlic powder (0.25%)], Maltodextrin, Edible vegetable fat (palm), Sucrose, Date extract (1.4%), Flavor enhancer, Thickener, Dehydrated herbs (Coriander and chives), Hydrolysed vegetable protein, Spices and condiments (0.5%) [Black pepper and asafoetida], Licorice extract (0.5%), Acidity regulators and Anticaking agent.

Nutri label – The Himalaya Quista Indian Spice Soup provides 332 Kcal of energy, 22.7 grams protein, and 9.1 gram dietary fiber per 100 grams.

Dry Inspection And Aroma – Woah! The dominant heeng aroma reminds you of a dal tadka (even though there is no dal in this). We could see a few vegetables like carrots and specs of green coriander. The dark yellow color of the soup powder is like besan

Taste Test Results – The Himalaya Quista Indian Spice Soup has a beautiful pepper flavor. The thin consistency reminds you of a bowl of homemade desi spice soup that is freshly made for the whole family every day. People who love desi flavors in their soups will love the warming pepper and heeng (asafoetida) flavor of the Indian Spice soup.

Conclusion

Himalaya Readymade Soups taste like a bowl of homemade soup.

The Himalaya Quista Readymade Soups won us over for their homestyle taste and consistency. Unlike most packaged instant soups, these did not thicken even after getting cold. All the flavors were true to their core ingredient. These instant readymade soups taste fresh and are well seasoned. Even though the vegetables don’t rehydrate very well or aren’t as plump as we see in freshly prepared homemade or restaurant-style soups, they all taste good and fresh.

When you need a quick warm snack during the winter, the Himalaya Quista Readymade Soups are far tastier than any instant soup we have ever tasted. As we say for all packaged products, these are not meant to be had every day but can be an excellent on-the-go instant soup meal. The small, convenient packaging makes it easy to carry to work or camping trips where you can just open, mix and consume it. Give these instant soups by Himalaya Quista a try!
