Hey Grain Besan & Chocolate Chip Cookies
Calories – 460 Kcal for 100 grams.
Net weight – 140 grams for Rs 120/-.
Ingredients – Organic besan, salt, gluten-free baking powder, baking soda, demerara sugar, milk, butter, choco chips. These cookies are baked in a non-gluten environment.
Appearance and aroma – The cookies are a light brown in color, and we could see a lot of chocolate chips scattered in the middle. The cookies were a little crumbly and our hands were coated in crumbs after handling them. The roasted besan aroma in the cookies is dominant and reminds you of a fresh besan barfee.
Taste – Besan is a very Indian ingredient and chocolate chips are a rather western concept. It’s like chalk and cheese. Surprisingly, the combination of besan and chocolate chips works brilliantly and these cookies are yummy! We did not expect them to taste nice together. The chocolate chips are added in abundance and not a single bite goes without you biting into some. The sugar levels are quite balanced and this cookie would taste great even with unsweetened milk or black coffee.
Apart from the fact that these cookies made a lot of crumbly mess while eating, the sweetness levels, quality of chocolate chips, and the besan flavor were all a win-win.

Taste – These cookies were so hard, we couldn’t bite into it in one go. No jokes. We had to struggle to eat them. Flavor-wise also, these aren’t too nice and give out a very burnt-flour like taste. The sweetness levels are balanced but it doesn’t matter because the cookies did not taste nice.
We do not recommend the chocolate and oats cookies at all! People could make advertisements for toothpastes promoting strong teeth using these cookies. Yes, they were THAT hard!
