SUPERB!
Summary
Hershey's Kisses are bite sized chocolates that are now available in India in two sizes. The smaller packaging is priced at Rs 50/- and contains 8 pieces approximately, while the larger pack is priced at Rs 140/- and contains 23-24 pieces. We tried three flavors of Hershey's Kisses - Milk Chocolate, almonds and cookies n creme, and loved all of them. The smooth chocolate richness associated with Hershey's is definitely present.
People who have lived through the 1980s-1990s would understand the joy and excitement that revolved around the ‘foreign returned’ family member with a bag full of chocolates from duty-free shopping arcades. Everyone had specific demands for these imported chocolates, but one brand that was consistently on the list was Hershey’s. The Hershey Company, popularly known as Hershey’s, is one of the world’s largest chocolate manufacturing companies, which was founded in 1894. Hershey’s Kisses were first introduced in 1907. While there are many classic and eclectic flavors of Hershey’s Kisses available worldwide, The Hershey Company introduced three flavors of kisses in India recently – Hershey’s Kisses Milk Chocolate, Cookies ‘n’ Creme, and Almonds.
We reviewed all three flavors of Hershey’s Kisses for their flavor, mouthfeel and to see if they are value for money. Here is what we loved about these bite-sized chocolates.

Did you know that earlier, Hershey’s Kisses were hand wrapped in aluminium foil? These flat bottomed, teardrop-shaped chocolates are known as ‘kisses’ because of the sound the machines made while depositing the chocolate during the manufacturing process.
Not only that, the little paper flag that you can see on all the Hershey’s Kisses is called a plume. Another name for the paper tail or plume is a ‘Niggly Wiggly.’ These Nigglywigglies were actually added to the packaging so that the customers would know that these are the original Hershey’s Kisses.

Quick Review Of Hershey’s Kisses Cookies ‘n’ Creme
Price and packaging – The Hershey’s Kisses Cookies ‘n’ Creme comes in a metallic blue pack, which is not resealable. These bite-sized chocolates are wrapped in a blue-colored foil. A 33.6-gram pack is priced at Rs 50/-. A 33.6-gram pack contains 8 pieces of Hershey’s Kisses approximately. 100 grams of these Hershey’s Kisses provide 530 Kcal of energy.
Ingredients – White Chocolate (89%): Milk solids (34%), Sugar, Cocoa butter.
Cookies (11%): Refined wheat flour, Sugar, Edible vegetable oil, Cocoa solids (10.3%), Emulsifier, Acidity regulator.
Taste test – The base of this flavor of Hershey’s Kisses is white chocolate. White chocolate, generally, is sweeter than milk chocolate and can get a bit overbearing. White chocolate is sweeter because of the lack of cocoa solids, which give dark chocolate its signature bitterness.
The addition of crunchy chocolate cookies in the Hershey’s Kisses made these chocolates a a bit more balanced sweetness-wise. That being said, these were still the sweetest amongst the three flavors. We could taste hints of vanilla as well.
