We also grilled the other half of the footlong bun to see how they would fare in a toasted/grilled form. We were careful not to overload the grilled sandwiches as fillings tend to ooze out with the pressure of the grill plates and that doesn’t usually make for a good sandwich eating experience. 

To review the Harvest Gold Subz Footlong Buns, we set the following parameters. We gauged them for –

Footlong buns are usually soft, not crusty, and easy to cut into halves. We checked if Harvest Gold Subz Footlong Buns were as soft, spongy and fresh as it is supposed to be.

The buns have a rustic taste of their own in addition to the herbs and spices that elevate the taste of the bun further. So, with the two variants of Harvest Gold Subz Footlong Buns, we checked if the buns hold the taste of cheese, garlic, and oregano, and if they come through even with fillings.

The aroma of freshly baked bread is sweet, yeasty and it smells divine. We checked if Harvest Gold Subz Footlong Buns smelled fresh and if the aroma of the ingredients cheese, garlic, and oregano were present in the two variants.

What happened when we grilled them? The outer bread layer became crisp and toasty and the insides remained soft while retaining the taste and aroma of the cheese & oregano.

Just like the cheese oregano variant, this one too is soft and doesn’t crumble. The grilling results were similar as well.
