Summary
Haldiram's Dahi Kebabs are tasty, no doubt. However, the lack of melt-in-the-mouth feel, and firm texture were factors that diminished the overall rating. We would have liked them more if the seasoning was milder.
Dahi kebabs are an exciting frozen snack combining the freshness of the curd, melt-in-mouth filling, and crisp exterior.

1. Taste

These kebabs have dairy products including yogurt and Indian cottage cheese. How fresh do these elements taste? Are these seasoned well?
2. Texture

Aroma + Appearance
These are medium-sized kebabs and no broken pieces were found in the pack. Thumbs up!
The kebabs hold their shape very well and do not break apart easily.
The aroma was mild curd-like complemented by a subtle addition of cardamom.
Taste + Texture
How should a dahi kebab taste? A typical dahi kebab flavor is supposed to be mildly seasoned. An amalgamation of subtle cardamom, a hint of chilli’s freshness, and the creaminess of the dahi.
Talking about the taste, Haldiram’s dahi kebab has a prominent flavor of red chilli. We would have liked it if the heat had come from some freshly chopped green chillies instead. We quite liked the presence of mild cardamom and pepper flavor. Nonetheless, we enjoyed them and found them to be quite tasty despite some minor misses.
Coming to the texture! Dahi kebabs are soft and creamy from the center and have a delicate texture. Haldiram’s Dahi Kebab were quite sturdy and firm and lacked the desired melt-in-mouth feel.
These would have received a higher rating if only the kebabs were softer, delicate, and seasoned mildly.
Pros
- Hassle-free heating.
- No broken pieces.
- The subtle cardamom and pepper flavor was desirable.
Cons
- The kebabs could have been seasoned a bit mildly.
- The texture of the kebabs could have been softer.
Best Suited For
For someone who enjoys a spicy version of dahi kebabs with a slighty firm texture will love these dahi kebabs from Haldiram’s. But for those looking for classic flavors and delicate texture might not enjoy these.
