Summary

With balanced salt levels and a crisp texture, Garden Crispy Murukku tastes fresh. The ingredient list could have been better.

A bowl of crispy murukku paired with garma-garam chai. There is nothing that can beat this combo. Made using rice flour, dal flour, and spices, it takes the form of either spiral or wheel shape. It is spiced using basic masalas such as cumin and chili and is a light snack for munching. After reviewing an array of delicious snacks by Garden, their crispy murukku was next in the line. For our Garden Crispy Murukku review, we got a pack from a local store, and here is what we think.

Garden Crispy Murukku – Detailed Review

Let’s get into the details: Packed in a green color pack, Garden Crispy Murukku offers a shelf life of 6 months. First things first, these are bite-sized sticks.

Texture-wise, these murukkus justify the crispy tag. The crunch and crispness are superb.

In terms of taste, the prominent flavor of ajwain and cumin comes throughout. Nonetheless, it elevates the overall taste. The salt levels are balanced. We like that these murukkus are not loaded with spices.

Sadly, we were not impressed with the ingredient list. Though these murukkus include black gram (Urad), dehusked Bengal gram flour (besan), and rice flour, the presence of refined wheat flour (maida) is not desirable.

Conclusion:

To summarise: The crunch and crispness of Garden Crispy Murukku are on point. It justifies the tagline. It has a great taste, and the flavor of ajwain and cumin comes out deliciously.

If you want a light snack option to relish with tea or coffee, this is a good option. However, if you prefer traditional murukkus made using rice flour – this may not work for you.
