Lipton Japanese Matcha: #FirstImpressions

There is much talk about Matcha these days! Matcha is essentially processed and ground green tea which known to be rich in anti-oxidants, and is popular for boosting weight loss. It is different from regular green tea as it is grown in the shade (for 3-4 weeks before the harvest) and upon plucking, all stems are removed. So all you have is chlorophyll-rich pure green tea, with a rich dose of antioxidants. Sensing a growing need for this healthy tea, tea giant Lipton has recently launched its new Japanese Matcha green tea. We check out this brand new product in our #FirstImporessions section.

#FirstImpressions Of Lipton Japanese Matcha

We tasted the Lipton Japanese Matcha and loved it. If you are new to matcha then you should know that matcha never really dissolves in water. It settles to the bottom if you let it stand for a while. That’s normal and does not mean the quality is bad. The instructions here suggest that you mix it with half a cup of hot water first and upon mixing top it with the rest of the water. This helps initially. But in a few minutes, you will feel the need to stir it again. As we said, that’s normal.

Lipton Japanese Matcha tastes authentic. Because of its high chlorophyll content, the tea tastes delicately sweet and savory and has a distinct japanese umami flavor. These are packed in easy to carry sachets. The best way to consume this is with hot water only.
