Ways To Prepare This Ready-To-Eat Biryani

Though quite easy to prepare, there are three different ways in which you can prepare your biryani:

  1. Instead of cutting the pouch, you can immerse it in boiling hot water for over 5 minutes. Then cut open the pack and empty its content into a plate and serve hot.
  2. Cut the pouch, empty its content in a wide microwavable dish, and heat it for 1 minute. Take it out, break the chunks of biryani with the back of the spoon, and then again heat it for 2 minutes before serving it hot.
  3. The third and the final method involve the cutting of the pouch, and then emptying its content into an already greased frying pan. Break the chunks of biryani using the back of the spoon and heat it for 3-5 minutes.

#FirstImpressions Of Kitchens Of India’s Ready-To-Eat Noormahal Biryani

Packaged ready-to-eat dishes can be something of a bummer and so we weren’t expecting much, until, of course, the biryani began to spread a wonderful aroma in our kitchen. Noormahal Biryani surpasses all expectations when it comes to taste too. The rice is long-grain and wonderfully flavored. The rice does not taste like a separate entity, it tastes very much a part of the biryani. Even fresh biryanis miss this aspect sometimes. The chicken koftas are soft and well cooked. Not chewy, there were 6-7 koftas in our biryani which is adequate for one person. Calorie-wise one packet will have around 400 calories, which is not too much considering how biryanis usually go. At 175 /- for a 250 gm packer, the price too is competitive.

This is a really good-quality gourmet packaged biryani and one that we would recommend to all those who like to dabble in ready-to-eat foods every once in a while.
