Jowar Puffs By The Healthy Cravings Co: #FirstImpressions

Your refined flour obsession might take a back seat when you spot healthier options in the market. Great millet or Sorghum (Jowar), Pearl millet (Bajra), Finger millet (Ragi) based flours have gained back popularity in recent times. Millets are high on fiber and are packed with multiple health benefits. Adding them to your daily diet can be highly beneficial. You can turn these flour into rotis, idlis, pancakes, and dosas.

We tasted The Healthy Cravings Co – Jowar Puffs in three different flavors – Herb and sundried tomatoes, Indian spices and Cheddar cheese. Made with millets, these claim to be a healthier alternative to maida-based snacks available out there. Here is our #FirstImpression.

#FirstImpression of The Healthy Cravings Co – Jowar Puffs

Available in multiple flavors, The Healthy Cravings Co Jowar Puffs, remind you of the regular kiranewala puffs, except that these are healthier.

How are they healthier? They use jowar and rice flour as a base. No maida has been used. The Healthy Cravings Co – Jowar Puffs use rice bran oil for cooking them which is definitely better and healthier than other refined vegetable oil/palm oil-based snacks. A big plus – the picture of the product on the pack is similar to the actual product.

Within the three flavors available, we absolutely loved the herb and sundried tomato variant. You might enjoy the Indian masala flavor more if you are fond of spicy snacks. The puffs across all flavors are crunchy, light and airy. Calorie-wise they aren’t too bad too. So if you feel the need for something crunchy, savory and tasty in between meals, this one could be a good pick.

Additionally, the small pack make for portion-controlled snacking, and also make these light-weight snacks pretty-travel friendly.
