Catch Digestive Drinks With Lemon Juice Review

Digestive drinks like shikanji, jaljeera or jeera paani have been consumed in India for as long as we can remember. Aiming to promote ‘haazma’ (digestion), generations of Indians have guzzled these healthy beverages on a regular basis. Now, these digestive drinks are available in a packaged form that is easily accessible to a large section of people. Of course, nothing can replace the real deal, but the packaged versions can surely be a good option if you need something on-the-go.

We tasted Catch Jira Digestive With Lemon Juice and Catch Shikanji Masala With Lemon Juice and here is what we thought about them. Our review will help you decide if these are tasty and worth the purchase.

Mishry Taste Test | Catch Jira Digestive With Lemon Juice

A 200 ml bottle of Catch Jira Digestive With Lemon Juice is priced at Rs 10/- which is very reasonable. A 200 ml beverage provides 68 Kcal of energy.

The taste – Catch Jira Digestive With Lemon Juice is extremely sweet and the taste of the jeera/Jira is very faint. Taste-wise, there is nothing ‘jeera’ about it and eventually, all you can taste is sugar.

Appearance – The color of the jeera drink is off-putting. This is definitely not what a jeera based drink looks like. It looks more like an iced tea.

The point of these on-the-go bottles is to have one on a hot summer day, but they should be flavorful. Sadly, Catch Jira Digestive With Lemon Juice is not tasty and the jeera flavor is non-existent.

2) Catch Shikanji Masala With Lemon Juice

This lemony flavored drink can be added to cocktails, mocktails or had on its own during the summer.

MRP – Rs 10/-

Mishry Taste Test | Catch Shikanji Masala With Lemon Juice

A 200 ml bottle of Catch Shikanji Masala With Lemon Juice is priced at Rs 10/- which is pocket friendly. 200 ml of this beverage provides 72 Kcal of energy.

The taste – Catch Shikanji Masala With Lemon Juice is a slightly toned-down version of the street style banta you usually get. It has a lemony taste which is similar to homestyle shikanji. There is a jeera and a mild kala namak flavor and is not too sweet.

Apart from having it individually, it could be a great mixer too. You can add this to your cocktails and mocktails to give them a desi twist. It could be used as a base for summer drinks too, which are more lemon-based.

Conclusion

Overall, these beverages may not be very different nutritionally in terms of calories or sugar intake in comparison to regular or popular carbonated drinks. This is where flavor should be amped up to make the product shine. So if the taste is missing, chances are you might want to skip buying these and going for more popular carbonated drinks instead.
