Summary

The Cadbury Chocobakes Cake has a sweet outer chocolate coating and a chocolate-flavored layer in between. As much as we enjoyed the taste of the Cadbury Chocobakes, the dry texture of the cake and broken pieces affected the entire experience.

A royal purple outer cover, with a sheet of the golden wrapper, Cadbury filled our childhood with happy memories. In recent times, this grand old company of chocolate-flavored chocolate-coated goodies has been launching new products consistently. Whether it was an oreo and mousse-filled Dairy Milk Silk Chocolate or chocolate-filled cookies, Cadbury always brings some innovation to their products, which is why we were excited to try out their newest entrant – Cadbury Chocobakes Cake.

Everyone loves cakes. But do you know what’s even better? A Cadbury chocolate flavored cake! We knew just one pack of the chocobakes wouldn’t suffice so we grabbed four of these for our review! Did we like it enough to recommend it? Let’s find out.

Quick Review Of Cadbury Chocobakes Cake

Price and packaging – The Cadbury Chocobakes Choc Layered Cakes are packed in a glossy purple pack. A single 21-gram Chocobakes Cake is priced at Rs 10/-. 100 grams of the Cadbury Chocobakes Cake provides 465 Kcal of energy.

Dry inspection – The Cadbury Chocobakes did not come out of the pack as a whole. All the packs we opened were broken. Unlike other packaged cakes available in the market, the Cadbury Chocobakes Cake was not packed in a separate tray, and we had the same experience with the three other packs of chocobakes too! A small paper tray really would have helped.

All the packs of Cadbury Chocobakes we opened were crumbly and broken.

Taste Test – As the name suggests, Cadbury Chocobakes Choc Layered Cakes had layers of sponge cake and luscious chocolate. Even though the cakes were completely broken, we could see a harder outer casing of chocolate, sponge cake layers, and a chocolate filling. The exterior of the Cadbury chocobakes had the same Cadbury Dairy Milk chocolate taste that we have grown up having. The cake inside was a tad bit less sweet than the outer chocolate coating. However, these cakes were a little dry.

A closer look at the Cadbury Chocobakes Cake.

Like we always say, the eyes eat first; the chocobakes did not look appealing when we opened the pack as they were all broken and crumbled. Even if we give it the benefit of the doubt for the way it came to us, the cake was still too dry. Cadbury Chocobakes Cakes has layers of milky chocolate, a cake that is a bit dry, and a nice outer hard-chocolate coating that provides a lovely crunch. While we loved the varying textures in the chocobakes cake, we found the sponge cake too dry for our liking. That being said, this is still a tasty snack that can be added as a treat to a tiffin or carried while traveling for those off-timed, occasional snacking.
