Summary

We liked the signature Amul milk chocolate taste, however, it does not deliver on the crunch, which is the primary reason for actually eating a wafer based chocolate.

Amul has been long associated with dairy products like milk, curd, cheese, and butter. Apart from that, Amul chocolate, old and new versions, are loved by a large chunk of Indians. Amul’s Bindaaz is a chocolate-coated wafer bar that promises crunch and a chocolaty punch. But does it pack in enough flavor and crunch to say goodbye to your preferred bar of wafer-based chocolate? Here is our Quick Review of Amul Bindaaz.

Amul Bindaaz Wafer Chocolate Review

Appearance – All the Amul Bindaaz chocolates we opened were partially broken. The wafers were separating from each other. We noticed that there is a thin layer of chocolate after every wafer layer.

Flavor Notes – Why do we eat wafer-based chocolates? For the crunch and the smooth, silky chocolate coating. Our two main parameters while tasting such chocolates are – taste and crunch. The Amul Bindaaz lacks the pronounced crunch we look for in a bar of wafer chocolate.

Yes, the chocolate is sweet and milky, reminding you of the signature Amul milk chocolate, but the signature ‘wafer-crunch’ is missing, which dulls the overall experience a bit.

Amul Bindaaz Chocolate lacks crunch.

When we broke the chocolate in half, it looked promising on the crunch front, but as we took a bite, the wafer wasn’t as crunchy. At least, not as much as we usually eat in popular wafer based chocolates. The combination of wafer and chocolate does not blend well and is rather dry.

Amul Bindaaz, even though it is pocket friendly, isn’t crunchy.
