Ador Health Ultra Low Carb Keto Roti Atta – All You Need To Know

A low-carb diet or a keto diet is all the rage these days. With the sharp increase in the popularity of all these low-carb diets, there has been an increase in brands catering to providing low-carb and keto-friendly food products. Here is what you need to know about the Ador health low carb keto roti atta.

1. Ingredients

The ingredients used to make Ador Health Ultra Low Carb Atta are sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, watermelon seeds, flaxseeds, soya flour, wheat bran fiber, isolated wheat protein, guar gum, and psyllium husk.

2. Texture

Rotis made using flours other than whole wheat (like bajra or jowar) are harder and rougher, texture-wise. They also do not roll out as easily. This is why gauging the texture of the rotis is important.

The texture of the chapatis made using Ador Health Ultra Low Carb Atta was rough but not hard. The rotis rolled out nicely. In fact, jowar rotis that we usually roll out are much tougher. The round shape was easier to achieve and we did not struggle to smooth it out.

The rotis have a  very fibrous texture but remain soft. This indicates that the quality of ingredients used is good.

3. Taste

Be it whole wheat chapatis or buckwheat rotis, every type of flour has a distinct aroma and taste.

We tried the Ador Health ultra Low Carb rotis thrice – Once as it is, then with Amul Safed Makhan and again with a regular bowl of homemade gobhi sabzi.

The taste of the rotis of Ador rotis is fairly satisfactory. There is a mild bitterness at the end when tasted alone. But the moment you eat it with a sabzi, the bitterness cannot be felt. Rotis anyway are not supposed to be eaten as it is and always paired up with a vegetable or curry.

4. Price

A 930 gm pack of Ador Health Ultra Low Carb Atta is priced at Rs 425/-. This is definitely not easy on the pocket, but again, these types of specialty diet foods are not meant for everyone either.

People who are on strict low-carb diets are always looking for food products that can suit their dietary needs. So even if the audience is limited for such products and this might seem steeply-priced, those looking specifically for low-carb atta might not mind shelling out money for it.

5. Method of Preparation

We followed the instructions given on the pack but tweaked the water content a little. The instructions given on the pack are –

  • Use 20 gms of the atta with 25 ml of water.
  • Knead it properly to make a soft dough.
  • Keep the dough covered for 10 minutes.
  • Use the dough to make rotis, pooris and paranthas.

To make three medium-sized rotis, we made a dough using 60 gm. Unlike the mentioned flour-water quantity, we only had to use 50 ml water for 60 gm flour. If we would have used more, our flour would have turned into a liquid mess. This is why we stopped adding water at 50 ml. We let the dough rest for 10 minutes.

The dough we kneaded was soft and did not require a lot of effort while rolling out the chapatis.
