Mishry Rating
SUPERB!
Summary
True to its name, we loved the cola inspired Hajmola. The rating is for the Dabur Hajmola Chatcola, Limcola, and Regular variant. We did not like the pudina Hajmola as much.
Known for their addictive chatpata flavors, Hajmola instantly brings back the good ol’ childhood days. Although these little candies made our eyes squint, we couldn’t help ourselves from popping a few post-meals.
Initially, Dabur Hajmola was available in two flavors and two forms- original (regular) and pudina as tablets and hard candies. Later, we witnessed the launch of fun flavors, including cola, limcola, anardana, hing, amrud, and imli.
As kids, the concept of calories and macronutrients never really existed for any of us. We bet you didn’t know these were meant to be digestive tablets. Recommended to be consumed post heavy meals, Dabur Hajmola is a mix of traditional Indian herbs and spices that are known to naturally stimulate the digestive power.
We cannot corroborate this claim, but we sure can tell you more about the taste, packaging, and whether or not it still makes our taste buds go POP. Read our Dabur Hajmola candy flavors review for more!

1. Dabur Hajmola Pudina
Hajmola Pudina did not make it to our list of favorites. The flavors of pudina and other spices were extremely mild.
Pudina (mint) has an intense aroma. Widely used for culinary and medicinal purposes, mint often lends a lingering cooling effect on the palate.
Hajmola’s pudina variant was low on this minty freshness as well as robust spiciness. This ranks third on our list.
Pros
- Dosage recommendations for adults and children have been provided.
- Hajmola is prepared using a blend of Indian herbs and spices.
Cons
- The pudina flavor felt flat. It wasn’t as intense as we’d like.
- Out of the four we tried, the pudina variant was the lowest on spice.
Best Suited For
This variant of Hajmola digestive tablets is best suited for individuals with a low spice tolerance or those who prefer a mildly flavored post-meal digestive aid.
2. Dabur Hajmola Chatcola Flavour
A cola-flavored digestive? Yes, please!
Hajmola Chatcola is an Ayurvedic tablet that packs a strong punch of cola flavor. This punch is laced with some chaat masala.
Pros
- This variant has a nice hit of spice.
- The cola flavor is BOLD!
- The detailed ingredient list is commendable.
Cons
- It is soft to chew.
Best Suited For
If flavor is what you’re craving, Hajmola Chatcola is a great low-calorie alternative to sugar-loaded fizzy drinks. If you’ve tasted a cola-flavored popsicle, this tastes exactly the same but bite-sized.
3. Dabur Hajmola Regular Flavour
The original Hajmola flavor took us back to the 90’s. The flavor hasn’t changed a bit! Free of preservatives and devoid of artificial sweeteners, each tablet of the regular Hajmola candy has a power of 550 mg. Let’s read some more on these spiced digestive candies.
Pros
- This variant does not use any preservatives, natural or artificial.
- It does not contain any artificial sugars too.
- All Ayurvedic herbs (powdered) have been used.
- The spices pack intense heat.
Cons
- These were overly salted.
Best Suited For
This is a decent option for those looking to consume a flavorful churan.
4. Hajmola Limcola
These digestive tablets looked almost like the other variants. It emitted a subtle citrusy aroma of lemons paired with the distinct chatpata Hajmola aroma.
True to its name, this variant showcased a pleasing flavor profile of lemon and cola flavor with a hint of pepper. Towards the end, the flavors of pepper and lemon take the front seat with a slight sweet and salty combination.
Additionally, the tangy and sweet flavor of tamarind was also sensed on the palate.
Pros
- Lip-smacking flavor profile. Delivers on the promise of lim-cola.
- We appreciate the detailed ingredient list.
Best Suited For
The classic cola flavor paired with the citrusy punch of lemons, in a bite. Sounds appetizing? Then you’d relish this Hajmola variant.
Which Dabur Hajmola Flavour Stands Out?
Hajmola Chatcola won us over. It shows a great balance between the cola and masala flavors. Although a bit soft, we liked how lip-smacking this variant was. We also liked the regular/original Hajmola.
Final Words
While we can’t say much about how effective Dabur Hajmola is in terms of aiding digestion, they are good enough to end meals with.
The Chatcola variant was our favorite. It tastes like a cola popsicle with just the right amount of masala.
The regular variant is for those who love testing their spice tolerance, whereas Hajmola Pudina is recommended for young kids or individuals that prefer foods with a low spice/flavor intensity.
Is Hajmola still a staple in your kitchen? If yes, what’s your go-to flavor?
